The Hatha Tradition

Hatha Yoga — the forceful path — is the foundational system from which all modern physical yoga styles emerged. Its texts — Hatha Yoga Pradipika (15th century), Gheranda Samhita and Shiva Samhita — describe a complete science of self-purification and liberation.

The Ha-Tha duality — solar and lunar, right and left, effort and surrender — is not just physical but represents the union of all opposites within. Through asana, pranayama and meditation, Hatha Yoga prepares the body-mind for the highest states of consciousness.

At Samyut Yoga, the Hatha TTC honours these texts as living practices — not historical curiosities — guided by Yogacharya Aravind Prasad's deep grounding in Gurukulam training and traditional Indic education.
